An Introduction to
Hijrah Project
An attempt to increase productivity and improve the skills
In suburban communities
There is a strong coherence between the extent of the training for the labor force and their productivity in production process. The signs in most of the industrial countries indicate the fact that there is a strong coherence between investment on human force training and economic growth. Therefore most of the developing countries have high investments in this sector. In Iran as well the resources spent on education and skill training is growing day by day.
In Iran the general budget for training amounts to 3.5 percent of GDP while in other countries, the general budget in training and enabling section amounts between 2 to 6 percent of GDP. Undoubtedly both general education and vocational training needs larger budget to improve the training quality and to gain the “100 % training coverage”. In fact education and skills training as a phenomenon - is an inevitable part of our life and it’s importance and effect on improving the social, economic, industrial, political, cultural , . . . situation is clear for every one . If a country has a large foreign exchange income while neglecting the task of educating and training human source, economic growth and development in that country certainly will not be met and the country will not get to economic independence, because development in agriculture, industry, economy, technology, health, treatment, etc requires related technical and vocational trainings.
Given all that, TVTO, to achieve it’s long standing objectives – fair distribution of trainings in all layers of the society and all around the country – studies made by TVTO, both internally and externally has finally resulted in a decision in 2006 to plan and implement trainings for suburban and less developed communities under “Hijrah Project” that can itself secure productivity and satisfaction of the society.
What is Hijrah Project and why has it taken this name?
